Susie M. Lang (1849-1922) was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts, and played an active role in the Christian Science movement in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She was a graduate of the Massachusetts Metaphysical College, having taken Primary class in 1882 and 1883, and Normal class in 1885. She was a Christian Science practitioner and teacher in Lawrence for many years, founding the Christian Science Institute there (1886) and First Church of Christ, Scientist, Lawrence, Massachusetts (1896). She joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston on September 30, 1893.
