W. J. D. Leavitt (1841-1893) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and died in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was a musician and composer, well-known in Boston for organ concerts he presented at Tremont Temple and the Music Hall. He was also the husband of Annie V. C. Leavitt, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's. There is no record of W. J. D. Leavitt studying with Eddy or joining the Church.
