Lester studied Christian Science with Eddy's student, Augusta E. Stetson. She was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, New York, New York. She was recommended as a potential housekeeper by Stetson in a 1906 letter to Mary Baker Eddy, but she does not appear to have joined the Eddy household.
