Charles Marseilles (1846-1920) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and died in Exeter, New Hampshire. He was an editor and publisher who owned the Exeter Newsletter (Exeter, New Hampshire) from 1868-1878. After selling the Newsletter, he moved to Kingston, New York, where he published the Daily Freeman and Journal newspapers. In 1882, he retired and returned to Exeter. In 1885, he wrote to Mary Baker Eddy after reading about her defence of Christian Science at Tremont Temple on March 16, 1885.
