Eva R. Mayo (c.1840-1905) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and died in
Stamford, Connecticut. At the time she corresponded with Mary Baker Eddy, she was the
chairman of the lecture committee for the Ladies Physiological Institute, a women's club
founded in 1848 to promote health and fitness that was housed in Wesleyan Hall on
Bromfield Street in Boston.
