George McLaren (c.1817-1892) was born in Scotland and emigrated to the
United States, living in various places in Massachusetts, including Boston. He was a
student of Mary Baker Eddy's, studying with her in 1876. He ran a healing practice in
Boston until the 1880s; however, he never united with Eddy's church or the Christian
Scientist Association, her association of students.
