Lovina Millidge (1829-1910) was born in Penobscot, Maine, and died in Oconto, Wisconsin. She was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, taking Primary (1884) and Normal (1886) class instruction. She joined the Christian Scientist Association in May 1886 and joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, on July 1, 1893. Millidge was also listed as a Christian Science practitioner in the directory of The Christian Science Journal, and she was a founding member of the Christian Science Church in Oconto, whose edifice was the first to be erected for the purpose of holding Christian Science services.
