Charlotte S. Morford (b. Danley) (1837-1894) was born in New Jersey and died in Elgin, Ontario, Canada. She married John B. Morford, superintendent of the Canada Southern & Michigan Central Railroad, in the 1850s. They lived in Deerpark, New York, in the 1860s and moved to St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, by 1888. According to M. Bettie Bell, a student of Mary Baker Eddy, Morford first encountered Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures in 1888 while visiting Bell's aunt-in-law, to whom Bell had sent a copy. Morford took an interest in Christian Science and also expressed interest in studying with Eddy, however there is no record of her doing so.
