Ellen "Nellie" R. Morrill (b. Bryant) (1843-1924) was born in Canterbury, New Hampshire, and died in Concord, New Hampshire. In 1863 she married Ezekiel E. Morrill in Concord. They resided in Salem, Massachusetts, by 1867, and by 1880 they had returned to Concord, where they remained. Ezekiel E. Morrill was Mary Baker Eddy's first cousin once removed. His father, Alpheus Morrill, had advised Eddy on homeopathy. Ezekiel, a veteran of the American Civil War, was also a homeopathic physician, and according to Eddy was the first M.D. in New Hampshire to be favorable to Christian Science. Sometime after Ezekiel's death in 1908, Nellie went to live next door to Fred N. Ladd and Carrie I. Ladd (b. Sleeper) in Concord. Fred was Eddy's second cousin once removed and assisted Eddy with auditing and business matters over several years. He was also the treasurer and trustee of the building fund for First Church of Christ, Scientist, Concord, New Hampshire. Carrie was a Christian Scientist who was a member of both The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, and of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Concord, New Hampshire.
