Albert D. Packard (1855-1928) was born in Huron, Ohio, and died in
Columbus, Ohio. He worked as an engineer for the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific
Railroad, as well as for the Pennsylvania Railroad Company. He married Mary J. Packard
(b. Hughes) in 1878. In 1887, Packard wrote to Mary Baker Eddy with an interest in
studying at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College; however, there is no record of him
doing so. He continued to write in for pamphlets and had an article published in the
July 14, 1906, issue of the
Christian Science Sentinel titled
"Materiality Unreal."
