William C. Peirce (1846-1921) was born in Bristol, Pennsylvania, and died in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Over his career he was a stockbroker, wholesale lumber merchant, and the owner of planing and tanning mills. He married Katherine "Kate" S. Peirce (b. Switzer) in Brooklyn, New York, in 1873. She was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's.
