Hannah E. Phillips (1832-1907) was born in Chesterville, Maine, and died in Portland, Maine. She was the widow of Warren Phillips, who for many years was the superintendent of the Masonic Temple in Portland. She heard of Christian Science through Eugene H. Greene and Grace A. Greene, both students of Mary Baker Eddy's. Phillips wrote to Eddy in 1885 to inquire about treatment and studying at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College. There is no record of her being treated by, or studying with, Eddy.
