Ellenette Pillsbury (1843-1925) was born in Salisbury, New Hampshire, and
died in Boscawen, New Hampshire. For nearly 30 years, she was a teacher at the Adams
School, Belmont Square, in East Boston. She became interested in Christian Science in
early 1885 and attended services of the Church of Christ (Scientist), which were being
held in Hawthorne Hall at that time. Although she expressed an interest in studying with
Mary Baker Eddy, there is no record of her doing so.
