Lois M. Porter (c.1815-1888) was born in Dublin, New Hampshire, and died in Waterford, Wisconsin. She was the older sister of Sarah Eddy (1822-1922), who was the wife of Clarke Eddy, the eldest brother of Asa Gilbert Eddy.
