Ida E. Preston (b. Shaw) (1859-1939) was born in Levant, Maine, and died in Virginia, Minnesota. She married John A. Moore, a piano technician, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1876. They remained in Cambridge until relocating to Minneapolis, Minnesota, sometime during the late 1880s. The Moores were students of Mary Baker Eddy, completing the Primary Class together in August 1886, and John went on to complete the Normal class in October 1887. They both joined the Church of Christ (Scientist) and were members of the Christian Scientist Association, as well as the National Christian Scientist Association. Sometime between 1887 and 1899, the couple divorced. In 1899, Ida married Albert L. Preston in Minneapolis and seems to have drifted away from Christian Science.
