Laura A. Rand (c.1840-1902) was born in Dover, New Hampshire, and died in Boston, Massachusetts. She was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, studying with her in March 1883. She joined the Christian Scientist Association in March 1884, and in April 1895 she joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. She was first listed as a Christian Science practitioner in The Christian Science Journal in 1884 and continued to be listed intermittently until 1902.
