Anna A. Reed (b. Wheeler) (1836-1893) was born in Union, New York, and died in Clinton, Iowa. Reed was a student of Bradford Sherman's, who studied with Mary Baker Eddy, and she was an early pioneer of Christian Science in Clinton, Iowa. While still living in New York in 1854, she married Marcus Mills "Brick" Pomeroy, who became a well-known and controversial American newspaperman. The two later divorced. In 1873, she married James H. Reed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There is no record of her studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston.
