Lora S. Richardson (1844-1914) was born in Stoneham, Massachusetts, and died in Windsor, Vermont. She was living in Lowell, Massachusetts, in 1876, and by 1880 she had moved to Windsor. She is listed in census records as the partner and companion of Mary A. Phelps, a painter, for 34 years and is buried in the Phelps family lot. Richardson wrote to the Massachusetts Metaphysical College in 1887 to request a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. In 1888 she joined the Old South Congregational Church, where she was church treasurer for many years, and she remained a member until her death.
