Sarah P. Rollins (b. Davis) (1829-1905) was born in Northfield, Maine, and died in Long Branch, California. In 1853 she married William A. Rollins, a carpenter who later became a broker, in West Northfield, Maine. They moved to Des Moines, Iowa, in about 1867. Rollins wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1887 saying that she had been greatly benefited by reading Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and requesting to meet her in person. A note in Eddy's hand on the letter indicates the meeting may, in fact, have taken place. Rollins served on the board of the Home for Friendless Children in Des Moines. She passed away in Long Branch while on a visit there.
