Arthur R. Rowley (1881-1955) was born in Buffalo, New York, and died in
Medford, Oregon. He worked as a musician, farmer, and miner. In 1916 he was the director
of a symphony orchestra in San Francisco, California. Rowley was the adopted son of R.
A. Rowley, who wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1883 about his interest in Christian
Science.
