Adelaide A. Smith
Adelaide A. Smith (c.1838-1927) was born in Massachusetts and died in
Vallejo, California. She was a student of Miranda R. Rice, studying with her in
California in the winter of 1884. Rice was a former student of Mary Baker Eddy, who left
the Christian Science Movement during the Lynn Rebellion of 1881. There is no record of
Smith studying with Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
