Sarah C. Smith (1814-1883) was born in New York and died in Columbus, Wisconsin. She was the mother of Mattie Williams, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's. Smith divorced her husband, Thomas C. Smith, in about 1880, and moved in with her daughter, Mattie.
