Orlando E. Stevenson (1849-1900) was born in Illinois and died in Beatrice, Nebraska. He married Lorraine Stevenson in Boone, Illinois, in 1872. He held various jobs, including working as a baker, a salesman, and later as a solicitor for a fraternal insurance company. By 1880 the family was living in Beatrice. They were members of a Christian Science branch church there, and Stevenson was a member of its Students Christian Scientist Association. At the time of his death, he was serving as deputy supreme president and state organizer for the Sons and Daughters of Protection, a fraternal order in Nebraska. He was also a member of the Fraternal Union of America and served a term as constable of Beatrice.
