Seth P. Stickney (1852-1912) was born in Lyman, New Hampshire, and died
in Boston, Massachusetts. He was the brother of Flavia Stickney Knapp, a student of Mary
Baker Eddy's. He became interested in Christian Science after receiving Christian
Science treatment through prayer from his brother-in-law, Ira. O. Knapp. Stickney joined
The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, in July 1893 and
advertised as a practitioner in the directory of
The Christian Science
Journal from 1902 until his passing.
