Elizabeth "Lizzie" A. Stone (1813-1901) was born and died in Bourbon County, Kentucky. In 1830, she married her first husband, Edwin Mills Dodge, who died in 1836. Later in 1836, she married Kinzea Stone Jr., a farmer and slave-owner, and they had seven surviving children including three Christian Scientists, Malinda J. Lancaster (b. Stone), M. Bettie Bell (b. Stone), and J. Newton Stone. There is no record of Stone studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
