William G. Swan (1841-1884) was born in Indiana and died in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He served for many years as the traffic manager for the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad. He was married to Jessie L. Swan. In late 1883, he received Christian Science treatment through prayer from Fannie M. Silsbee, a student of Bradford Sherman's.
