Julia H. Thomas (1856-1902) was born in Norwich, Connecticut, and died in
Brattleboro, Vermont. By 1868 her family had moved to Burlington, New Jersey, and by
1881 they were living in Queens, New York. Thomas wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1887 to
ask for a Christian Science practitioner recommendation for her mother, Josephine H.
Thomas (b. Sherman). Thomas was a member of The Woman's Christian Temperance
Union.
