Frank B. Thompson (1867-1954) was born in Barnet, Vermont, and died in Walla Walla, Washington. Thompson's family moved to Medford, Massachusetts, in the late 1890s, where he worked as a fireman on a railroad locomotive. He then moved to Walla Walla in about 1905; in 1910, he became part-owner and operator of the Book Nook, a bookseller and stationery store on East Main Street in Walla Walla. In 1917, he became the sole owner of the business and maintained ownership until his passing. He was healed by Luther M. Marston in 1885 and then took a class with him. Later, in about 1901, he took a class with Christian Science teacher Eldora O. Gragg and was also a member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, joining in June 1902 and remaining a member until his passing.
