Delia D. Trego (1827-1907) was born in New York and died in North Wales, Pennsylvania. Trego was a talented artist who, in the mid-1860s, taught oil painting at Elmira College, New York. She became interested in Christian Science in early 1885 after hearing a testimony of healing given by a patient of Caroline D. Noyes, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's. Trego was also the stepmother of notable American painter, William B. T. Trego.
