Charles A. S. Troup (1843-1934) was admitted to membership in the Church of Christ (Scientist) on February 8, 1885, and later served as its Clerk. He took Primary class instruction in Christian Science from Mary Baker Eddy in April 1885. He served as both secretary and treasurer of Eddy's Christian Scientist Association. He was married to Clara E. Troup who was also a student of Eddy's.
