H. C. (Hugh Clarkson) Waddell (1859-1940) was born in Scotland and died in Los Angeles, California. He married Ada V. Farrow in September 1884. He served as pastor for a time at The Church of Christ in Cadiz, Kentucky. He later was a minister in Los Angeles. He had Primary class with Mary Baker Eddy in 1886 but soon began arguing publicly against Christian Science.
