J. H. (Joel H.) Warn (1830-1896) was born in Lowville, New York, and died
in Escanaba, Michigan. He served in the Union army during the Civil War, rising through
the ranks from Second Lieutenant to Adjutant of the 184th New York Infantry Regiment.
Although he expressed an interest in Christian Science, there is no record of him
studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
