Anna E. Warner (b. Park) (1843-1918) was born in Pennsylvania and died in
Binghamton, New York. Sometime between 1860 and 1870, she married George B. Warner, a
sawmill worker. They lived in Pennsylvania before moving to Binghamton by 1887. Warner
studied Christian Science with Ellen E. Cross, a student of Mary Baker Eddy, before
becoming a student of Eddy herself and completing her Normal class in February 1887.
That fall, she helped establish the Binghamton Academy of Christian Science and served
as its principal. Warner was a member of the Christian Scientist Association and the
National Christian Scientist Association. She joined The First Church of Christ,
Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 30, 1894, and withdrew her membership in
1895. Warner was listed as a Christian Science practitioner and teacher in the directory
of
The Christian Science Journal from 1890 until 1894.
