Mary Waite Warren (b. Wait) (1863-1941) was born in West Georgia, Vermont, and died in Montpelier, Vermont. In 1882 she married Jere C. Warren, a laborer and farmer, in Georgia Plains, Vermont, and they resided in West Georgia. They had seven children, the oldest of whom was Lucia C. Warren, who became Corresponding Secretary, and later Executive Secretary, for The Christian Science Board of Directors and was also extensively involved in archival work for The Mother Church over many years. In 1898 she moved to St. Albans, Vermont, returning after four years to take care of her father in West Georgia. In 1904 the Warrens moved to a farm near Montpelier. In 1887 Warren took a class in Christian Science from Julia S. Bartlett, one of Mary Baker Eddy's students, at the New England Academy of Christian Science, and was listed as a practitioner in The Christian Science Journal from 1895 to 1905. Warren was a member of the Church of Christ, Scientist, Montpelier, and on March 31, 1894, she joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. Her husband joined in June 1901, her daughter Lucia joined in June 1902, her daughter Caroline F. Pickard (b. Warren) joined in June 1920, and her son Theodore E. C. Warren joined in November 1968.
