Rev. Joseph Williams (1826-1882) was the pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Boston, Massachusetts. He was born in Prospidnick, Cornwall, England, and died in Boston. In November 1878, the Church of Christ (Scientist) began holding services at the Tabernacle on Sunday afternoons at 3:00, with Mary Baker Eddy as preacher. (The Baptist services were at 10:30 in the morning.) The last Christian Science service at the Tabernacle was in February 1879.
