Sarah M. Williams (b. Freeman) (1860-1943) was born in Brooklyn, New York, and died in Preston, Ontario, Canada. She married Samuel J. Williams, a manufacturer, in 1880, and they moved to Toronto, Ontario, where they resided until 1893. Around this time, Williams was healed using Christian Science treatment through prayer. She studied Christian Science with Pamelia J. Leonard, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, and became a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The family moved to Berlin (now Kitchener), Ontario, and Williams joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 6, 1894; Samuel later joined on June 5, 1906. In June 1901 Williams took the Normal class taught by Edward A. Kimball in the Board of Education of the First Church of Christ, Scientist. Williams was listed in the directory of The Christian Science Journal as a Christian Science teacher and practitioner in Kitchener from 1893 to 1934 and in Preston from 1935 until her death.
