Grace S. Wright (b. Stevens) (1868-1958) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and died in Concord, New Hampshire. She graduated with an A.B. from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, in 1893 and married John L. Wright, a reporter, in Chelsea, Massachusetts, in 1898. The Wrights were members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Chelsea, Massachusetts, where they both served as Readers. They joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts (also known as The Mother Church), on June 3, 1899. Wright's husband served as the first city editor of The Christian Science Monitor when it was established in 1908, and he continued working in various editorial positions for it until 1922. By 1910 the Wrights were living in Newton, Massachusetts. They moved to Wellesley, Massachusetts, sometime between 1924 and 1930 and both withdrew their memberships from The Mother Church in 1928. John passed away in 1932, and Wright moved to Concord around 1953.
