Mary Baker Eddy and Asa Gilbert Eddy rented two rooms on the second floor at 551 Shawmut Avenue. They moved there in early February 1880 and lived there until early October when they returned to 8 Broad Street, Lynn. Her students George and Clara Choate and their son Warren were also living at this location, renting both the first and third floors.
