Accession: 025A.10.018
Editorial Title: Clara E. Choate to Mary Baker Eddy, December 23, 1881
Author: Clara E. Choate
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: December 23, 1881
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Clara E. Choate from Boston, Massachusetts.
Editorial Note: Choate wishes Mary Baker Eddy a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. She gives Eddy more information about the course of lectures she hopes that Eddy will give for a fee. She writes that she can assure Eddy of an audience of about 25, but that some of Eddy's other students are opposed to the idea as it would prevent Eddy from going away as she would like to do. Choate also reports on a "class of infants," likely a Sunday School class of young children, that she is teaching. She expresses her discouragement that the other Christian Science students veto every move she makes, but she is glad to have a few friends to help her.
