I have Just received your kind letter-, in answer to mine of a previous date.. and I now hasten to express my gratitude to you, not only, for giving your bookEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy to the world.. but also for helping me in my unbeliefMark 9:17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; Mark 9:18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not. Mark 9:19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me. Mark 9:20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming. Mark 9:21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. Mark 9:22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. Mark 9:25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. Mark 9:26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. Mark 9:27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose. , as I am satisfied, and know that you did assist me. I have had the asthma for some years by times.. and at the time I wrote to you I was suffering some from it I had been reading your book for a week or two and so far as I could understand it I applied it to my own case-. on the Sunday after writing to you.. I felt a curious feeling come over me,- an unutterable peace .– and freedom from care or pain. My Asthma ceased, entirely. and has not returned. an affection of the kidneys and bladder, which I believed I had, has disappeared almost..

for all which, I am fully convinced, I am indebted to, the knowledge I have obtained of the Science of LifeEditorial Note: Christian Science and the assistance you have given me .

And for one thing more I wish to express my grateful As Written: gratefull feeling, that is– from the false teaching from the pulpit I had become an almost confirmed infidel to the truths of the Gospel of Christ My Eyes are now opened and, I can see and understand the beauties of the Gospel of our Master) I have much to thank you for.. and as soon as I can arrange my business Matters As Written: Mattirs I shall come to see you. (I want to sit at your feet and learn more, of the way of Life.). I have been a Justice of Peace for some years, and will be out of it soon, when I shall be at Liberty to follow my own CourseAs Written:Courrs..
