Archival Note: The letter from Eddy that Letts is replying to is not extant.
Editorial Note: Letts tells Eddy that he would like to attend one of her classes but that his business
would suffer if he attempted to do it now. He speaks of having to unlearn much that
he'd learned over the course of his life in order to progress in Christian Science.
(Letts eventually took a class from Eddy in the spring of 1879.)
