Beloved Leader:—

I want to tell you that when I was with you for those few minutes yesterday, you seemed to me younger in appearance than at other times when I have been with you. And that calm assurance that God, good is the only power, which I have always seen in you from my first visit, has given me renewed strength and confidence that honesty, fidelity, and truth lived, must, will ultimately triumph.

After leaving you I went to the cottage opened an old Edition of Science & HealthEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy at page 423 which is, as you know, about one of the subjects upon which you touched. And I saw many things there I had never seen before, especially from line 18 to end of paragraphEditorial Note: Although it is not clear which edition Hill opened, editions from 1902 and 1904 contain a verse similar to the current edition on page 423, lines 18 to 26Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures423:18matter presents. The metaphysician, making
Mind his basis of operation irrespective of matter and
regarding the truth and harmony of being as superior to
423:21error and discord, has rendered himself strong, instead
of weak, to cope with the case; and he proportionately
strengthens his patient with the stimulus of courage and
423:24conscious power. Both Science and consciousness are
now at work in the economy of being according to the law
of Mind, which ultimately asserts its absolute supremacy.
.
.

Let me thank you again for those few minutes I was with you, and I shall be glad indeed to reciprocate in my feeble way in anything I can do for you.

Lovingly yours,
Calvin C. Hill.
