That you may know just what the law is I encloseAs Written:inclose it verbatim. the Law of 1868 being the last that I, as yet, find, anythingAs Written:any thing later I will send as it appears, in searching.

I am told by M.Ds and others here that there is no law respecting or hindering our practiceEditorial Note: The practice of Christian Science healing. and, it is plainAs Written:plin, that this law was for the compounding of medicines and prescribing the same withoutAs Written:with out the preparationAs Written:preperation, but I find that the seven medical collegesAs Written:coleges or "Institutions" here have an influence; this city of (35000) three hundredAs Written:threehundred and fifty thousand has over 780 practicing physicians, and as soon as a new thought is presented they oppose it strenuouslyAs Written:streneously, this opposition we expect to meet wherever we go, I have no doubt that a good fieldAs Written:fied is open here. and that no hindranceAs Written:hinderance will follow but what must be met in other states.

I am quite sure also that if you would come and manage, a College could easily be chartered, considering the variety already here. I send circular- of one.

I hope to hear soon that you are enroute, for I am at an extra expense awaiting your counsel; have madeAs Written:mad every preparationAs Written:preperation so that you will be at little expense or as greatAs Written:grate, as you please.

Before leaving the cars, at this depot, you want to take the Omnibus check which entitles you to a free ride to my home #82 East Fifth St. yourAs Written:you baggage can be left at the depot without extra expense as long as you wish. and movedAs Written:mooved free when desired.

I fear nothing here, the relief from that Boston mental furnaceAs Written:furnice is inviting.
