Editorial Title: Arthur T. Buswell to Mary Baker Eddy, April 15, 1882
Author: Arthur T. Buswell
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: April 15, 1882
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Arthur T. Buswell from Cincinnati, Ohio, on lined printed stationery of Associated Charities of Cincinnati, with envelope.
Editorial Note: Buswell writes about his practice of Christian Science healing, which he has been doing quietly because he fears that "an open and lucrative business would lead to litigation." He describes two of his patients: one had been suffering from bronchitis and had been given up by the leading pulmonary physician in Cincinnati; the other patient was suffering from tuberculosis and morphine addiction. Both are improving, and in the second case, the tuberculosis has been completely healed and Buswell is treating lingering effects of the morphine addiction. Buswell wishes that another Christian Scientist would locate in Cincinnati--one who is scientifically and financially sound. He wants to prepare to teach Christian Science and hopes to travel to Boston in July to discuss this with Mary Baker Eddy.
