Accession: 321.44.005
Editorial Title: Roger Sherman to Mary Baker Eddy, October 22, 1883
Author: Roger Sherman
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: October 22, 1883
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Roger Sherman on embossed lined paper from Chicago, Illinois.
Editorial Note: Sherman tells Mary Baker Eddy that Christian Science is creating considerable interest in Chicago. There are numerous inquiries about it and demand for Eddy's book, Science and Health, is growing. Sherman says that he and his father (Bradford Sherman) are the first to have entered the public practice of Christian Science in Chicago. They have had excellent success and have brought about many cures by means of Christian Science treatment through prayer. Given their position and the increasing demand for Science and Health in Chicago, the Shermans are wondering if arrangements can be made for them to be agents for the sale of the book. If so, they will push the sales as vigorously as possible.
