You ask, "could I teach Jews & Gentiles, by fifties and clear up the sources sufficient for them to start a C. S. A. with me for a standpoint. and our causeEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science. to be represented by them? I had in my class Mr & Mrs SilverEditorial Note: Herman Silver and Eliza Silver, JewsAs Written:Jew's, I have no fear about the result with them; they said they fully accepted my instruction. Mr S was the Superintendent of the U. S. Mint in DEditorial Note: Denver, Colorado and is a very liberal-mindedAs Written:liberal minded man. the balance of the class were Gentiles of all shades of opinion. and if I do not average As Written: avarage more than one Black Sheep in a Dozen. that will be as well as the averageAs Written:avarage. and I shall be well satisfied. I made two classes of my Students. Afternoon and evening class. and not to be egotistical. I think the Truth as presented did clear away a great deal of error, and as proof several good demonstrations by the Students, were made manifest. I do not however set myself up as a standpoint, as I neither seek or wish any notoriety, and those taking instruction of me must be known by their works, and so long as they conduct themselves properly, subscribe and live up to the Platform of the Christian Scientist, I do not see why they should not be endorsed and sustained in Denver as well as Chicago. I think it advisable to get as many to join the C. S. A as we can, when we know nothing to disqualify them, with the understanding that they are on probation. therefore I gave my Students a Certificate As Written: Cirtificate good for one year. as a Normal Student of the Mass Metaphysical College, The Association was formed after I left Denver, and the better to protect themselves against the other side. Voted not to admit anyoneAs Written:any one except your Students or Students of your Normal Class, and allow me to ask what better course could I have taken as a Normal Student? And I may say that our side in DenverAs Written:D is the popular one which I know is right, the opinion of the Mind Cure'rs to the contrary notwithstanding.
