Accession: 324.44.004
Editorial Title: Eva Mayo to Mary Baker Eddy, January 13, 1883
Author: Eva Mayo
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: January 13, 1883 - archivist estimate
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Eva Mayo on lined paper from Boston, Massachusetts.
Editorial Note: Mayo is replying to a letter (not extant) that she received from Mary Baker Eddy. In a previous letter (691B.79.062), Mayo had invited Eddy to lecture in January 1883 at the Ladies Physiological Institute in Boston. Mayo tells Eddy that a member of the Institute had spoken to her about Eddy, and Mayo feels it would be best to postpone Eddy's lecture. She says it would be unpleasant for both Eddy and the Institute if anything should occur during the lecture. (This may suggest that some of members of the Ladies Physiological Institute were opposed to Mary Baker Eddy and Christian Science.)
