Allow me to trespass upon your valuable time just this once. You will rejoice with me in the recovery of Mr Freman of whom I wrote you who came to me a few weeks ago with two pairs of glasses and a shade on them – today he is strong and well – also a young lady with head ache since last August pronounced incurable by all the Drs “diseased brain” &c – I first saw her three weeks ago has had no head ache for two weeks – A young lady with Asthma for years unable to do any thing but nurse her <unclear/> first came to me 6 weeks ago – has gone to the country to teach school – well

a young lady with hereditary cough – the best skill in Chicago said to her “I can do no more for you” – has never coughed since my first treatment several weeks ago – I am now treating her father Prof Wilkin from what the Drs call “congestion of the optic nerve” – is blind for hours at a time – All three are prominent members of churches & society – people of education and intelligence – All are anxious to learn to know more of this wonderful ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science of which they only feel its effects – A few months ago there seemed a disposition to ridicule the idea of healing mentally As Written: mentaly – the papers spoke sarcastically of the method – this is a great change in public opinion – newspaper reporters are silent – and people are more willing to listen to the voice of Truth – They see the results and can’t As Written: cant but believe – a wonderful light has come to me during the past week I do not know how it came – your books which I have read a hundred times over – give me a new light – The few hours spent with Mr Sawyer gave me a help which was priceless It seemed as though we were almost in your presence while listening to him

We are hoping that Chicago will some future day be your head quarters – Surely there is a good field in this wicked city for teachers of the Christianity As Written: chirstianity you teach – which I am well persuaded is the only true Christianity –

Yours Et ceteraAs Written:&c
