Your letterEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. reached me on Saturday. I return the enclosed postage and reply that I cannot consent to the publication of the resolutions in the name of the class unless the explanation is made that I do not endorse them. Besides there are others of the class of the same mind. To publish the resolutions without names would be foolish because these resolutions read "we the undersigned students"– for my part Mrs Eddy forfeited all claim to them. Now I shall furnish them if insisted upon and if they are published in the name of the class I shall spare no pains to write to every paper within my reach in disapproval. I cannot be scared. It is my sense of justice that has made me take this stand. I could not be hoodwinked. There was inharmony in the class, and I was not the cause of it. Mrs Eddy might just learn now as well as later that she is not a pope. I can defend "Metaphysical Healing" but I cannot pretend to defend Mrs Eddy. Now if you want resolutions from the class you must have the class without me. Write to Mr Norvell. I withdraw my application for membership in your association. I can have nothing to do further with so-calledAs Written:so called Christian Science," as practiced for money. I am not afraid of the animal magnetism" scare God is my shieldPs 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. . I have a clear conscience.
P. S. I keep a copy of this letter. H. C. W
