My dear Mrs. Eddy

Perhaps I've no right to claim even a minute of your time since you are so occupied with demands from your own students. Yet knowing how interested you are in the Advancement of Christian ScienceAs Written:C. S. I gladly add my mite of testimony. Since last Aug. have been more active than ever in releasing from the bondage of sin & sickness; and have also had a class every alternate month teaching the rudiments of Christian ScienceAs Written:C. S. and now number fifty-threeAs Written:fifty three students. Have not supplied or recommended any books excepting such as you endorse. The "Butts Institute' & "Hopkins School" are so active in spreading their ideas – giving out to the Public that the Principles upon which they base their teachings is same as Yours only they make their teachings more practical than the "Eddy School" do. These influences made it necessary to form a sort of organization in order to keep my students together. We adopted the platform of Christian ScienceAs Written:C. S. and such sections of the Constitution as we could utilize. All are Anticipating the time when I may be welcomed as a student of yours. I encourage all my students to make it possible to study with you. In teaching and feeling the relations of teacher and student I'm at a greater loss than ever to conceive such a state of mind Admissible in ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science – as to feel justified in withholdingAs Written:with holding from a Student the best opportunities for gaining a knowledge of Truth. The spirit of rivalry has no place in Science. No matter whatever personal sense may testify against me I've a clear record As Written: reccord that will bear the Scrutiny of a just tribunal. I've only desired to be a disciple of Christian ScienceAs Written:C. S. from the beginning and this is still my desire – to prove myself a worthy disciple in thought, word & deed. Your Admonition "Wait and see the Salvation of the LordEx 14:13 ¶And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to-day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to-day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. Ex 14:14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. " has often given me courage to bear and overcomeAs Written:over come

Love will surely prove its own
